June 20, 2023- Andrew Hayes for Assembly District 75

Andrew Hayes is a lifelong resident of East County San Diego who has dedicated his career to fighting for the conservative values he believes in.

A graduate of El Capitan High School, Hayes went on to earn two bachelor’s degrees from the University of San Diego. Upon graduation, Hayes went to work on the frontlines of the conservative movement, serving as a legislative aide for former California State Senator Joel Anderson and eventually becoming District Director for Senator Brian Jones.

A product of Lakeside schools, Hayes learned the value of a great education from an early age. So when activists in Sacramento began forcing their woke agenda into our kids’ classrooms, Hayes stepped up and ran for school board in his hometown.

Hayes was first elected to the Lakeside Union School District Board of Trustees in 2018 and quickly became a leader in local education. Now serving as President of the Board, he has continued to champion parental rights and local control in our schools while developing an improved curriculum and defeating a $66 million tax increase.

“Our communities are being crushed by Democrats’ reckless spending and far-left agenda,” said Hayes. “I’ve been on the frontlines of the fight for our conservative principles. I’ll stand up to Gavin Newsom and the career politicians in Sacramento to fight for our values, lower taxes and the cost of living, keep our communities safe, and ensure parents have a say in their kids’ education.”

For Hayes, community involvement isn’t just a talking point – it’s a commitment. Growing up deeply involved in his church community, Hayes is now a member of the Santee-Lakeside Rotary Club, Lakeside Kiwanis, Lakeside Historical Society, and Lakeside Friends of the Library.
